After Hours Access

After hours access privileges extend for three months after graduation.

Study Carrels

UNM School of Law December and May graduates who are studying for the bar exam qualify for a carrel upon submission of a Carrel Request Form.

Bloomberg Law, Lexis Nexis, New Mexico One Source & Westlaw During the Summer

Bloomberg Law automatically provides student access during the summer, for academic work as well as employment (either paid or unpaid).

Lexis Nexis automatically provides student access during the summer, for academic work as well as employment (either paid or unpaid).

New Mexico One Source automatically provides student access during the summer, for academic work as well as employment (either paid or unpaid).

Westlaw requires students request an extension in order to retain access to their account during the summer. Extensions will be granted for academic work, unpaid externship/internship, law journals, moot courts, and research assistants. Use this form to request a password extension

Bloomberg Law, Lexis Nexis, New Mexico One Source & Westlaw After Graduation

Bloomberg Law automatically provides access to their full research system for six months following graduation.

Lexis Nexis automatically provides access for six months following graduation. This access does not include Web Courses.

New Mexico One Source provides access to their full research system for one year following graduation. Email Brenda Castello, Executive Director of the New Mexico Compilation Commission, to request your access extension.

Westlaw provides access for eighteen months (sixty hours per month) after graduation. To gain access, use the pop-up that appears when you log on to Westlaw or you can go here and select Agree. This access includes TWEN (The West Education Network).
