Professor Marquita Harnett
Visiting Law Librarian
BA, 2003, University of New Mexico; MLA, Library Science, 2004, University of Arizona
Marquita joined the Law Library in September of 2008, and currently serves as Collection Development Librarian. In this role, she is primarily responsible for developing and managing the Library’s print collection. She also provides reference services to faculty, students, the Bar, and the public.
Marquita is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Southwestern Association of Law Libraries (SWALL), the Special Libraries Association (SLA), the American Library Association (ALA), and the New Mexico Library Association (NMLA).
Prior to coming to the UNM Law Library, Marquita worked as the cataloger and as a reference librarian at the Supreme Court Law Library in Santa Fe. She is a life-long resident of Albuquerque and previously worked within the University Libraries system at UNM.
