About UNM Law Library

UNM Law Library Mission

The Library’s mission is to serve and support the UNM School of Law in educating and training students to become excellent lawyers who will enrich the local community after graduation.

In addition to providing library services and information resources to the Law School community, we endeavor to provide services and resources to the New Mexico legal community, the greater UNM community, faculty and students from other educational institutions, state and tribal government and court system employees, public libraries, and members of the general public.

Indigenous Peoples' Land and Territory Acknowledgement

Founded in 1889, the University of New Mexico sits on the traditional homelands of the Pueblo of Sandia. The original peoples of New Mexico – Pueblo, Navajo, and Apache – since time immemorial, have deep connections to the land and have made significant contributions to the broader community statewide. We honor the land itself and those who remain stewards of this land throughout the generations and also acknowledge our committed relationship to Indigenous peoples. We gratefully recognize our history.
