Legal Research
Law students seeking assistance with legal research have several options:
Contact the Reference Desk. Assistance is available in person, online by chat or email, or by phone at (505) 277-0935.
Schedule a Research Consultation. This is especially helpful for students working on a seminar paper, law journal note, researching for work, etc. To schedule a consultation, Contact the Library.
Consult a Research Guide. Our research guides pull together essential primary and secondary sources on a topic. Some even provide research advice, checklists, or step-by-step research instructions. The guides in the areas of Environmental and Natural Resources, Indian Law, Legal Ethics, New Mexico Law, and Finding Journal Articles are some of the most heavily used by students.
